DONATE TODAY AND SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY
At Cambridge Sustainable Food we urgently need to raise funds to continue our work distributing food to people who desperately need it.
It might seem hard to believe in what appears to be such a wealthy city, but this winter many people in Cambridge will have to make the stark choice between heating and eating. It is vital that people are able to keep a roof over their heads - but the reality is that many will struggle to do this with competing demands for paying for rent, energy and food.
In fact 63% of respondents to a survey of people attending community food hubs in Cambridge* said that the rise in food and energy prices has made it difficult to afford food and pay bills at the same time.
With no end in sight for the cost of living crisis - and the higher food and energy prices - many people simply can’t afford to buy the food they need to feed themselves and their families.
Donate to Cambridge Sustainable Food today to help ensure that we can continue our crucial work, redistributing food around the city and making sure that nobody goes hungry.
*Survey took place in February and March 2023 at community food hubs across Cambridge.
Will you support us to feed local people in need this winter?
A donation of:
£5 could fund a meal in the school holidays for a family
£20 could fund a bag of seasonal vegetables for a family
£150 would keep one of the food hubs we support stocked for a week
£760 would keep all of the food hubs we support stocked for a week
You can make a one-off donation or set up a monthly payment. Please consider setting up a monthly donation. This helps us to plan ahead and use our funds in the best way possible. Even a gift of a few pounds a month is invaluable. Your donation can be cancelled at any time.
