The Free Urban Food Project is here!
This spring, Cambridge Sustainable Food are joining forces with Earth & Mind on a mission to help people overcome the barriers to upcycled food by educating around the availability and abundance of free food available in urban areas and inspire ideas around how these can be turned into delicious products .
Join us on Saturday 31st May for a FREE guided foraging walk around Cambridge to learn about wonderful ‘weeds’ and their nutritional benefits for our health and wellbeing.
Meet at St Philip’s Church on Mill Road for a briefing before heading out on a guided group walk focused on identifying the emerging buds, blooming flowers, and tasty edible treats available for free on your doorstep in the late spring season.
All equipment, and instructions on safe, sustainable foraging will be provided, and there will be a break in the middle of the walk to sit down and enjoy some refreshments made from foraged goods!
All are welcome, no experience required. Spaces are limited, to confirm your spot please complete the booking form: https://forms.gle/5GQmfKC34mcB2Rtn9
