Cottenham Fruit Fest

  • Cottenham Village Hall Lambs Lane Cambridge, England United Kingdom (map)

FruitFest is an Apple Day with a difference – a feast of apples and other seasonal fruit and veg; with a mission to save waste and see surplus produce redistributed to where it’s needed.

Do you have fruit trees cropping more than you can use? We’re inviting any one with surplus fruits or veg to bring them along for collection by Cambridge Sustainable Food. Donated food will be passed on to local charities including Hope CIC’s Mobile Food Hub and Cottenham Community Café.

FruitFest is much more, with attractions and interest for everyone. A cookery demonstration by popular chef ‘Waste Not Rowen’, who made a big impact at Sustainable Cottenham’s stand at FEF; and apple tasting, apple juicing, Create a Crazy Fruit/Veg Hat, a ‘bring and take’ jam jars exchange and refreshments. Fruity, fun and family-friendly!
