Is your garden or allotment producing more fruit than you can use? Why not donate your surplus produce to Cambridge Sustainable Food!
We are prioritising donations of apples, plums, greengages, pears, and berries, though if you have other fruit (or veg!) which you’d like to donate then please get in touch and we’ll let you know if we’re able to take it. All donated produce will be processed, preserved, and redistributed to the community via local food justice networks throughout the autumn.
Contact alex@cambridgesustainablefood.org to arrange a time to drop off your produce to our distribution hub on Barnwell Drive. If needed we may also be able to collect from sites in Cambridge, please let us know if this would be helpful and we’ll do our best to organise a collection.
We’ll be running another donations drive in September so do get in touch if you know you’ll have fruit available then, or check our website and social media (@cambridgesustainablefood on Instagram and Facebook) for news on dates.
If you’d like to help with processing the donated fruit into jams, chutneys, sauces, desserts, and more then please contact alex@cambridgesustainablefood.org to find out dates for upcoming batch cooking sessions.
