Following the success of the city’s first Community Fridge at The Edge Cafe on Mill Road, we’re setting up three new community fridges in Cambridge in the coming months.

Aimed at reducing food waste and increasing access to healthy food in our city, the fridges aim to redistribute surplus food from local businesses and individuals to local communities.

We are looking for volunteers to help bring this new project to life! We need volunteers to collect surplus food from local food businesses and deliver it by bicycle, on foot or by car to one of the following fridges:

Brown’s Field Youth & Community Centre, Green End Rd, Cambridge CB4 1RN

Buchan Street Neighbourhood Centre, 6 Buchan Street, Cambridge CB4 2XF

Shop unit on Barnwell Rd, Cambridge CB5 8RG
