Volunteer Drivers to collect Supermarket Surplus

Join our team of surplus collection volunteers to help save good food from waste in Cambridge.

Volunteers play a vital role in saving and redistributing surplus food across the city by collecting donations from local supermarkets and delivering them to food centres where they can be sent out to feed the community.

Collection shifts are on weekday mornings (Mon-Fri) between 7-9:30am. You’ll visit between 8-10 supermarkets in central Cambridge before dropping all the food you’ve collected at one of the following locations:

  • East Barnwell Community Centre: Mondays

  • The Edge Cafe: Tuesdays

  • CSF Distro Hub (Barnwell Business Park): Wednesdays and Thursdays

  • Trumpingon Pavilion: Fridays

Fully flexible role - we welcome volunteer drivers who can help out regularly and those who can only drive once in a while!

Must have a valid UK driving licence and an insured vehicle.
