Join our team of surplus collection volunteers to help save good food from waste in Cambridge.
Volunteers play a vital role in saving and redistributing surplus food across the city by driving to collect donations from local supermarkets and delivering them to food centres where they can be sent out to feed the community.
Collection shifts are on weekday mornings (Mon-Fri) between 7-9:30am. You’ll visit a selection of supermarkets in central Cambridge before dropping all the surplus food you’ve rescued at one of the following locations:
East Barnwell Community Centre: Mondays
The Edge Cafe: Tuesdays
CSF Distro Hub (Barnwell Business Park): Wednesdays and Thursdays
Trumpingon Pavilion: Fridays
This is a fully flexible role and we’re just as excited to welcome new volunteer drivers who can only help out once in a while as those who are looking to drive regularly!
To volunteer in this role you’ll need a vehicle, a valid UK driving licence, and you must be aged 18+
