Join the CSF Kitchen Team as a Leader or Helper
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support us with providing a simple monthly meal for families in Romsey on Saturday lunchtimes at St Philip’s Church on Mill Road.
The meals will take place at 12pm on the first Saturday of every month, starting from Saturday 1st February 2025. Volunteers will be needed between approx. 10am - 2pm to help prepare the food, serve meals to families, and clear up afterwards.
Since this is a brand new project we are ideally seeking volunteers who can commit to helping out on a regular basis, becoming familiar with how the meals run and working closely with CSF and St Philip's staff to make sure things are going well for everyone.
We have two different roles available depending on your level of experience:
Kitchen Leads - plan menus and lead on food prep - requires catering experience/training
Kitchen Helpers - assist kitchen lead with food prep - no experience required
Full role-specific briefing and induction from knowledgeable staff will be provided for all volunteers.
Volunteering in the CSF kitchen is a great way to gain experience in a catering environment, develop teamwork, organisation, and leadership skills, and support the local community with nourishing food and a friendly social hub.
